Artist's Description

This is a portrait of the 8 pounds of pure love we share our lives with. Miss Pippin was rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina. We adopted her when she was still a puppy a couple of years ago. She does NOT like posing for her portrait, but she did enjoy the finished work, I least I think she did, she barked at it.

About Alan Lakin

Alan Lakin

Alan Lakin is from Oklahoma City originally, currently living in the Atlanta, Georgia area. He has been painting most of his life. His favorite mediums are acrylic, oils, water colours and pen and ink. Most of his work is considered impressionism, however he also does portraits or other work on commission. He has received numerous awards for his art and has shown in many galleries nationwide. As Edward W Bok's stated "Make you the world a bit better or more beautiful because you lived in it". Alan believes that those who have the ability to creat art must let their visions loose.
