This is the beautiful fountain in the center of the 17th century walled city of St Paul de Vence. This fountain has been in many movies and travel posters. It is one of the oldest fountains in France and at one time was the cities only water source. A favorite for tourists and everyone who gets lucky enough to visit this historic and beautiful city.
St Paul de Vence is just to the north of the French Riveria city of Caan and should be a "must see" for anyone visiting the area.
Alan Lakin is from Oklahoma City originally, currently living in the Atlanta, Georgia area. He has been painting most of his life. His favorite mediums are acrylic, oils, water colours and pen and ink. Most of his work is considered impressionism, however he also does portraits or other work on commission. He has received numerous awards for his art and has shown in many galleries nationwide. As Edward W Bok's stated "Make you the world a bit better or more beautiful because you lived in it". Alan believes that those who have the ability to creat art must let their visions loose.

..... I wondered why I seemed so well known this fountaine... St. Paul de Vence is one of the most beautiful places in south of France with a lot of little restaurants and small bars... just typical southern France... smile
