A single longhorn has settled down for a mid afternoon siesta at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife refuge by Mt Scott in Oklahoma. The refuge is home to hurds of wild longhorn and American buffalo as well as prairie dogs, rattle snakes and many other creatures.
About Alan Lakin
Alan Lakin is from Oklahoma City originally, currently living in the Atlanta, Georgia area. He has been painting most of his life. His favorite mediums are acrylic, oils, water colours and pen and ink. Most of his work is considered impressionism, however he also does portraits or other work on commission. He has received numerous awards for his art and has shown in many galleries nationwide. As Edward W Bok's stated "Make you the world a bit better or more beautiful because you lived in it". Alan believes that those who have the ability to creat art must let their visions loose.
